Meguires color restorer, then some meguires Polish and top off with meguires carnubal wax. Did this by hand on 20plus year old boat and almost factory new shine. Did not take much effort. Color restorer works awesome to remove oxidation, polish adds shine and wax protects and adds more shine.

I'm glad to see others dont like Armor All. I have seen too many things just end up going to [censored] after using armor all.

Not to drag this back up, but I just tried Flitz Polish.. Problem solved for me. The hazy gel coat looks factory fresh.. Had a trial pack in a gel coat repair kit, and it worked so good I ordered the biggest bucket I could find. No stores seem to carry it, I had to order from Amazon. Everyplace I checked locally had no idea what it was.

I don't mind reading more about it, tell me more about your coats original state. Mine will shine like new but it just won't stay shining for some reason.

Before I started the flake portion of my gel coat had a gray haze on it that looked like it was about to peel off. It was very rough looking, I was certain I would be wet sanding the boat. I also have white gel coat on the cap. The white gel coat if you wiped it would turn the rag white. The flake now looks dang near new and the white looks like it was sprayed with a new gloss. I have only done half my boat this afternoon so I will finish the other side tomorrow. PM me your email and I will get you some pictures of both sides so you can see the results.
