Figured a thread we were missing would be a place to post our testing/catching pics. I think it could be a fun thread to share our work and the fish we catch on our own baits.

Caught this little guy today on one of my 110+1 jerkbaits painted in semi pearl blue in 8ft of water on a rock point. Gotta love 46 degree water!

Let's see you guys catches on your baits

This is more about technique and opportunity than the bait that I build; but this is the bait that caught the big stringer on the Ohio River of 10 fish weighing 62 lbs. The orange spinner bait has been cast from the exact bait that I still have. During upper level disturbances Bass hate Orange and I have found no spinner bait to beat it during rough weather conditions. Always have one on board to throw just after the storm passes and have your spot picked out in a small creek as close to the channel as possible with heavy cover to load the boat.

This is not just a once in a live time catch. It has been repeated many times on our Texas lakes at Amistad, Falcon, Ivie and in Mexico during a sleet storm.

Customer with 3 back to back 5 lbers.

Each person you work with holds some promise to your future success.

That's a pretty good testimony for orange right there. That orange anyway.

I've always been a spinner bait guy myself. I rarely go without one tied on one of my rods. I've always had good luck with spinner baits with gold, orange, green, combination. Especially when fishing them summer months in deeper water. I don't know if I'm correct in thinking so but I've always felt if the body of water I'm fishing has an abundance of perch/blue gill this color combo works.

In the spring time I always use a spinner with red. I've had good days with solid red. But usually go with red/gold or white/red. War Eagle makes a good red/gold one I've had some killer days with. It is primarily red with gold blades, gold head and wire, and some gold in the skirt.

If it ain't yours don't mess with it!

Is there a easy way to post pics? I am trying to do it using photobucket and I don't think it's going to work.

I have a box with a blue arrow. When I go to it it takes me to my pics, after I choose one and dowload it, it takes me back to the forum list on a smaller screen.

Click on the box with the blue arrow and then click on the top right corner of the popup that says "show instructions".

Caught these 2 at a pond. Only took it to the lake once and had a couple 3 lbers but no pics.
