TFF, I'm traveling to Florida on business, but I'm thinking about going a day early to try my luck on Okeechobee. I've never been there before, but hoping someone can give me recommendations on guide services. Thanks in advance for your help. -JJ

I think Roland Martin's Marina and Resort has about a 100 guides operating out of it. I would give them a call and set up a trip with one.
John K Fontenot Diapers and Politicians need to be changed often; and for the same reason.

Tom Mann Jr at Roland's is the man. Went with him last June and he told us it hadn't been very good because of the heat, but still caught about 50 fish on a 6 hr trip and had a 8,9, and many in the 4-6 lb range. I don't think we even caught a fish less than 2-2 1/2 lb

Last time we went we used Steve Lake. I thought he was great and I know others on here have recommended him as well in the past. There are apparently 2 groups of guides at Roland Martins place, the regular rotation guys and the part time guys. Ask for the regular, full-time guides and I'll bet any of them will be fine. There are several old posts on this topic if you want to look them up. Good luck and let us know how it went.
