All - The Texas BASSMASTER Team Trail is getting primed and ready for just around the corner. As many of you already know, a Austin-area family doctor battled his way through this format in 2015, and earned the last qualified spot in the 2016 BASSMASTER Classic! Your turn is coming up smile.

Seriously, the format is simple. Compete in a minimum of two (2) qualifier events held across Texas, and finish in top 40% of one of those events and your are eligible to compete in Texas Championship as listed below. Compete in all the events - and you are competing for the coveting title of "2016 Texas BASSMASTER Team of the Year", along with prizes and benefits. Registration and membership is easily accomplished. One (1) Angler will earn the right, through the BASSMASTER Team Trail format, to compete in the 2017 BASSMASTER Classic - why not you? Only one way to get there - find the dates and lakes that suit you best and sign up.

Qualifier #1 - February 21, 2016 - Lake Conroe
Qualifier #2 - March 13, 2016 - Sam Rayburn
Qualifier #3 - April 24, 2016 - Lake Ray Roberts
Qualifier #4 - May 22, 2016 - Lake LBJ
Championship - Oct 22-23, 2016 - Lake Palestine

Registration forms, rules, membership, and information can be located here: http://www.texasbassonline.com/texas-bassmaster-team-trail

Best regards,

Elton

I'm in. This was a fun trail in its first year last year. Looking forward to it this year.

Looking forward to seeing you again Robert. Looks like '16 will be better than last year with a bunch of new sponsors on board.

Reminder to everyone wanting to register for the first event. We are rapidly approaching the event scheduled for February 21st on Lake Conroe. If you and your partner haven't sent your registration in you need to get it in the mail. Remember that the lake is off-limits Feb. 15-17 and you can not be on the water to pre-fish until your registration is in.
For any anglers that are not a member of an affiliated B.A.S.S. club you can still get qualified to compete. If you have a current B.A.S.S. membership (Bassmaster) all you need to do is call B.A.S.S. Nation and pay the dues with a credit card. They will send you a receipt via email. Print the receipt and go to http://www.texasbassonline.com/texas-bassmaster-team-trail and fill out the registration. Contact Elton and he will complete a Texas B.A.S.S. Nation "Member-at-Large" form for you. Send registration, entry fees and appropriate dues for "member-at-large" back to Elton and you are good to go.
If you have any questions give Elton a call. His contact information is on the registration.
