Looking for an insurance company and agent I can count on. Have a new boat so time for a new agent that
understands bass fishermen. I posted this in the insurance forum too. Thanks for any advice.

Saved me 1/2 over what I was paying for State Farm and one area that makes theirs better is you insure for "contracted price". That means in the event of a total loss you get the full amount that you insured the boat for to put towards another instead of a depreciated amount. Have not had a claim but have heard from others that did. They said their claims were handled professionally and fairly.

I'm very happy with Progressive. When I hit a stump on Fork, a rep was at the shop writing a check the next day. The agent I dealt with was also a boater and completely understood the situation. No stupid questions or accusations. They also have the option to cover your boat for the purchase price, and not just the current value.

Using Progressive also re Bob at World Wide Marine. Haven't had to make a claim (crossing my fingers) so, can't say how good or bad
'Purchase price' ?? OMG I changed my coverage (increase a LOT) so , I hope I'm covered for all that I have added

This X1000
Read your policy carefully because you can get a really cheap policy but if you're insuring an older boat you need a "Contracted Price" or "Agreed Value" as stated otherwise they'll depreciate the cost of the boat down to pennies.

For Example, I have an '01 Triton and got a quote from Geico, only $300 for a year Great! well not really, because in the event of a "Total Loss" they were going to pay UP TO 10% of the value!! so say I had it insured for $14,000 I MIGHT have gotten a check for $1400 if I wrecked the boat.

Progressive is the way to go for used boats.

Shoot me a PM, call or text at 325-998-5087. I'm with Texas Farm Buruea and can help you out. We are fishermen friendly. Me and our adjuster fish together pretty regularly so we know how boats go. -Bruce Clay

Make sure you get proper coverage on your trailer... Most don't.

I know, I know.....that is my only objection. But, Bob says after many quotes, that was the best for me.
I have to trust him and many others on here about Bob and World Wide Marine
