Planning on going to Bridgeport this weekend with my dad and my 3 year old boy. The last time we were there I was a kid and it has been over 20 years for the both of us. My dad knew the lake pretty good back then. any advice helping us locate some fish will be greatly appreciated.

Been going the last 2 weekends. Been getting a fair amount of fish with only 6 or 7 keepers. About 12-14 feet deep. Jigging has been good on small baits.

Thanks for the advice. Hopefully the weather Saturday will be like it was today.

Fishing open water, bridge, or boat docks? I've been to that marina in one of your pics are those docks any good?

Anyone with any luck at Bridgeport today? I normally do well during the spawn but never tried this early. Took my father-in-law from Kansas today. We fished from from Wise County park both ways. Towards the lake and WAY up Big Creek. Shallow, deep, mid depth, minnows, jigs, rocks, brush, banks. Nothing, nadda, not even a bite from a sand bass or black bass. Where are all the fish? I never thought the transition from winter pattern to pre-spawn would be this tough. I guess I'll just wait a week or two.

Managed 5 keepers around 20' deep in 30' to 35' of water. It was a slow And easy bite. Missed several fish. Kid had to stay home because he had a cold, but it was a good day with my dad and brother-in-law. though and weather pretty good February.
