Any boat ramps open on that lake? Is it even worth fishing for Any species of fish?

The only ramp open is at the end of 9 mile bridge road on the north end of the lake. The ramp at the 820 service road is closed due to construction where they are rebuilding the dock and parking lot. If TCWD doesn't charge an entry fee, it'll be nice.

you can catch some, I have not had luck when the water was cold. Mostly small fish when it warms up. Every now and then, someone will catch a big one, but its few and far between,

Mostly accurate, but it's the end of Ten Mile Bridge Road, not Nine Mile...

I talked to one of the construction supervisors out there a couple months ago and he said the west ramp would also be upgraded once the main ramp and recreation area reopens. We'll see...

Eagle Mountain and Lake Worth are pretty slow right now too, but in general they are a better bet than Marine Creek, which has Florida Strain bass that are more than a little finicky and choosey about what they'll strike.

I have a 1448 Jon boat with a 25hp and just don't know good places to try to fish on lake worth or em by boat that isn't to far from boat ramps. Any ideas? I fish for anything really. Bass, crappie, cats

It's a possibility. I've only been on the lake twice with less than stellar results, but there have been some documented monster catches out there; I've personally seen an easy 10lb+ on a bed I couldn't entice.

I know one of the yakers caught a 10+ last year, and had pics. When it was full of grass, it was a great little lake. Now, its good for dropshot practice and little fish being the norm. Do you have big fish out there, yes. Is it lake fork, no. It is what it is, a good place to burn a few hours.

Remember it is a idle only lake and they are cracking down on it and giving tickets. Yes Chris Zaldain did catch a 9lber not to long ago
