That's their plan, yes.

I would guess that to be a bad idea.

Maybe if they would frack under Grapevine, the water level would drop and I could get on the water.

Now that's desperate. But I know where you're coming from.

Smh at people that don't understand the process.

Yea, they're going to drill a well 2 miles under neath the ground and water table. Case and cement the whole way through and pump sand and water to hold a fracture open. You're going to be fine

It will be fine. FYI, Eagle Mountain Lake looks like a road map 7000' below it with all the wells. Lake Worth has several under it as well. I know Benbrook has at least 3, and Possum Kingdom has at least 2. I know this because I cemented many of them at EM, and the two at PK and the 3 at Benbrook. The only danger to the dam would be during the drilling process while they are drilling the conductor hole, and they would have to be dang near right on the dam at that. It will be cemented down to either 60' or 90', the surface casing inside of it down to approx. 2000' in that area, a possible intermediate casing down to around 5500-6500' and then a production string to bottom and horizontal. All the fractures opened up during the stimulation process will occur thousands of feet below the lake. The media loves to stir this pot, and does a good job of it.

I never heard that the holes were as much of a problem as the fracking fluid.

The Frac fluid is all flowed back when the well starts producing. Even at that it's 99% water mixed with a guar plant that is the same bean gum is made out of. The rest are house hold chemicals. Like I said everything is flowed back. The only way for any type of issue would be from a surface spill of some sort IE a truck turning over or a hose on the pad busting. These risk are the same risk as getting into a car wreck in a creek and leaking 8 gallons of antifreeze into a creek. Car accidents actually account for more environmental damage every year then the fracturing process.
