I have a cigarette lighter thing in my ranger...I used it to plug in all sorts of things, most recently a portable air compressor for the trailer tire that was low

just like your auto... 12v cigarette lighter adapter, or as they call then these days..12v power adapter. Don't know if I would plug a converter into it though to power computer... besides.. hard to see computer screens in the sun anyway

Could always do this....and I wouldn't at all be afraid to plug an inverter into this so you could charge your laptop.

You could also just buy a small battery pack for phones and tablets to recharge them. Bought a small one for my phone for $20. It will give me a full recharge on it.

Lots of options out there for you to use

battery packs is a good idea they will last for 2 or 3 full charges depending on the size you buy it.

My partner wired in an iPhone charger to the front deck to charge the iPad off of the trolling motor batteries.
