Got on the water about 2pm had our limit of Hybrids by 5 with 10 magnum Sandbass almost all the bait is in 27-34 ft of water the fish are suspending in about 30 foot of water close to trees. The hybrid ,and Sandbass are feeding on 2 inch shad so use some small plastics. Here are a few pics of the better hybrids.Great day to be on the water.

Nice fish and photos

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

Nice fish. You mentioned the fish were close to trees. Were these fish north of I 30 moving twords the creeks to spawn. I have been dead sticking the last 2 weeks twords the dam and loading the boat with magnum sandies in 30 to 40 fow but the Hybrids have disappeared. I have been wondering if the Hybrids have started moving twords the creeks north of I 30 and I need to move up there to dead stick.

I am sorry was a little unclear on trees there is alot of structure underwater as well.I have fished three days since last Saturday I have not been north of 30 yet. I have moved around alot searching side, and down scan to find the hybrids. They have not been in the same spot twice. They are there you just have to look alot for them. They are not in very large schools, and they do not stick around very long.

Thanks for taking the time to clarify the trees and structure. I mainly dead stick in the deep holes with little structure and have success in the past with the Hybrids I have avoided the trees to keep from getting hung up all the time. I guess I will get in there and fight them in the trees. Mike Osher will love that so I will have to order more jigs.
Hope to see you out there.
