I use a Minn Kota 460 charger. 4 bank @ 15 amps per bank. Basically like having one 15 amp automatic battery charger per battery. It is designed for AGM batteries also...which is what the Bluetops are. Have had years of good luck with this set up for years now. Look em up on Minn Kota website.

The tech at BPS just told me Interstate makes Optima since they sell them. All the Optima's they have are 2 year warranty.

all batteries are not created equal. to keep them lasting the longest that you can you need to charge them immediately after use, (you can over charge them too unless you have a smart charging system) the longer you don't charge them faster they will go bad and that is any battery. also yes battery maintenance is a plus if they are not sealed. My partner has 2 of the blue top batteries and loves them and they last longer than my regular batteries. I used to work for a battery factory and I think if the blue top is better: than they should show it by giving you a better warranty not much different than a regular battery warranty and cost twice as much. just my 2 cents. good luck
