I am wondering what to use to wipe and clean my boat hull after a day on the lake? What do you fellow anglers use that will not eat the wax away? Thanks for any info.
I tried searching this, andI am sure its been covered many times, but I couldnt find anything on the subject. Maybe I am not searching right.

I've always used vinegar and water mix . Boat looks great 8 years. Also every couple of months wipe it down with bow to stern good stuff.

I have a good soft brush on a long handle for reaching under the boat. I use a bucket of hot water and Dawn Dish Soap. Rinse it off then wipe it down with RO Water in spray bottle with white vinegar; 1 cup to a quart using a shamie. Rinse shamie with RO Water roll it up and store in plastic tube it came in. I only do the hull about every 3 trips or if I drive on wet roads.
I keep a gallon of RO Water and cleaning stuff in a bucket stored in the truck and wipe down the boat as soon as it comes out of the water each trip.

What would be the difference between RO and distilled water (that you can buy for cheap). Distilling leaves everything behind except the actual H2O molecules. Reverse Osmosis, as I understand, is a filtration based approach to remove impurities that takes less energy per gallon processed. That's why seawater-to-freshwater plants use RO instead of boil every drop....
My point being if you wish to avoid impurities, just use distilled water in your mix?

Wipe down with a damp towel before we leave the ramp. Unless it's raining When I get home I'll use BBS or Lucas slick mist.
