The Ray Hubbard Bass Club will be holding our second meeting of 2016 on Thursday February 11th. The meeting will be held at Bass Pro Garland downstairs in the restaurant on the patio. They enclose the patio and break out the heaters so we don't freeze so that's a nice thing. The meeting will start at 7:00PM.

We will be taking memberships for 2016! Membership costs $30.00 per year and that includes your entire immediate family. Secretary Russell Olds will be taking your information down and Treasurer David Simmons will be taking your money. If you are new to the Club, look for the guys with a line of people in front of them all trying to be first. They should be easy to spot. No need to rush up guys. They will be working on memberships throughout the meeting and we will get to everyone. You will fill out an information sheet so we know how to get in touch with you. If you are a returning member, please fill out the member sheets again and update your contact info for us if needed. We will also have a Sign in Sheet there. Make sure everyone signs in. You get 10 AOY points for every meeting you attend.

We will be discussing our first tournament of the year on Lake Palestine coming up on February 13th. We voted last month to fish winter friendly hours of 8-4. This makes sure we have plenty of light to navigate by. Palestine can be a dangerous enough place in the light. We will go over new weigh in procedures again and any off limits areas. Bring whatever knowledge you have of navigating Palestine to the table to help those that haven't been there much. All tournament information will be posted here in the Bass Clubs section. We will also be doing partner finder. I believe there are several people looking for an open back seat. If you do not have someone to fish with, do not fish solo. Bites are hard enough to come by this time of year. Make a new friend! Let's make sure no one is left on the shore.

We will vote on tournament hours on ramp for our March tournament on Cypress Springs. We will tell the story of the RHBC's struggle to get legitimate. Much like the Corleone Family it has been a long struggle, but we believe we are finally there. Long story but I will tell it. We are taking contributions to upgrade the scales. Bring some cash or your checkbook and throw in a few dollars, From 10 to 200, it all helps us get what we need. See David Simmons about that. We will go over the qualifications for being Angler of the Year, and fishing in the Club Championship tournament, which this year will be on Cedar Creek in November.

Lots to go over so come early and stay late. We hope to have the PA so everyone can hear what is going on, except Jack of course. Bring your appetite as wait staff will be there for your food and drink orders. Hope to see you there!
