Anybody had success with these? I ordered/received various colors 1/8 / #2's but I thought they would rattle a bit more..they seemingly need pretty good horizontal movement to rattle. I'm confused of how to get the dinner rattler bell to ring vertically? I had to shake em pretty good to hear em ..I try to support the local/small business instead of the made in Taiwan stuff and big box stores, I'll keep fishing em . Just was curious.

Used them on the coast for trout and reds...

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

Never had one bone in my body want to buy them, the chambers are way too small, the action it would take to get sound would be off the charts in the crappie jigheads... I do enjoy hearing Whitey Outlaw pronounce Rockport Rat-a-la....

I'm curious about them myself, but because they don't do anything for the human ear doesn't mean anything. Anybody using them ever report comparisons with regular jigheads. My partner has one of the buzzing rods that I have seen work on crappie numerous times, but I've also seen it not work.

I use them at times some. I think they make a difference at times. Just like with bass, sometimes you want your crankbait to rattle sometimes not. I think crappie are the same way. I have seen not getting a bite, switch to them and get bit, especially if fish are shallow. Other times, regular jig heads work best it seems. I also use rattling floats, because I think sometimes it gets their attention better. Just my two cents.

Awesome feedback from all of you fellow crappie heads! I really appreciate it, not a big investment but caught me by surprise. I have seen the small pointed inserts by Bobby Garland..which actually rattle louder. if nothing else they are pretty nice looking, I'll ask questions first next round.
