I have a blown powerhead (97 Johnson Venom 225) and was wondering my repower options and costs. What year engines can I use without a lot of wiring changes? I know I should stay with Johnson/Evinrude for a cost savings. Thanks

Marine mechanic in my signature, Cal Burch, is VERY good and knows these engines. He will tell you if it's worth rebuilding or buy a new one...if rebuilding, he's the guy to do it. Ask almost anyone here on the forum Hope this helps.... God Bless Lee
