I have a blown powerhead (97 Johnson Venom 225) and was wondering my repower options and costs. What year engines can I use without a lot of wiring changes? I know I should stay with Johnson/Evinrude for a cost savings. Thanks

This place can make it better than new.....never heard a bad word and it'll have a 4 year warranty..... Can't see how you can do better

Marine mechanic in my signature, Cal Burch, is VERY good and knows these engines.
He will tell you if it's worth rebuilding or buy a new one...if rebuilding, he's the guy to do it.
Ask almost anyone here on the forum
