Fished Eagle Mountain today from 1045 to around 245...managed 2 bass...one about 2.5lb and one about 1.5lb. Both fish caught on crankbaits on secondary points with rock. Probably came around 4-7 ft deep with much deeper water nearby. Had another bite on soft plastic but could've been a perch, small bass or who knows. As usual, the weatherman missed on his wind predictions. He said 10-20....I'll say let's take the 10 part of that away...wind did lay somewhat before I got off the water, but it was really blowing midday.

Located huge schools of bait in 15-25ft but didn't see any bass with them on the graph. Searched nearby structure at that depth and it was bare.

I will also add that both of those dinks were chunks....I'd like to see what a 22 or 23 inch fish would weigh there right now.

I went out from 3-5 and threw soft plastics. Did not get a bite. Water temp. at my dock is 50 so I'm thinking another 6-8 degrees it will pick up and 10-12 degrees is gonna turn on those big mamas.

Water clarity still really stained... Been a tough bite for sure though.

Was out 6-1130... marked bait out to 24-27 ft with fish underneath. Tried jigs as my main focus today but no yield. Water stained 45-49. It's only a matter of time! Edit* wind was already kicking swiftly by the time I was getting off the lake. 10 was def 15-20 in my calibrated opinion!

Sure hope the bite gets better this year.... still holding out

Caught this toad in about the same situation last monday, with tail pinched and properly on the board she was just over 22" at 7lbs...she spit up several dollar bill size shad inthe live well that would have added maybe an ouce or two...going back sunday for round two
