Has anyone ever wired up your hydrowave mini to your 12 volt starting battery? I had an idea of putting a voltage regulator to go from 12-14 volts to 9. I found this, tell me what you think guys. I hate having to change the battery every fishing trip and don't want to spend 400 on the big one.

Yup the conversion kit is all you need to have to run it off a larger power source.

Didnt even know they made that, thanks, the one I'm looking at is only 3 bucks though and I can wire it in myself.

I'd never even heard of a Hydrowave before. Do you notice a difference when you use it?

Yes it makes the baitfish nervous I believe, You can pull up in a cove and be fishing and turn it on and u will sometimes notice a lot more baitfish activity. I think it helps but not its not like a guarantee to put fish in the boat.
