What happened to the El Salto post a few days back concerning some problems at the lake? Any one know for sure what happened?

Their has been a travel warning to the state of Sinaloa for quite a while. Warning of kidnappings, robbery`s and heavy Sinaloa drug cartel activity`s in the area. Advised not to look or act like you have a lot of money. Stay in groups. Don`t be stupid and try to play grabass with the Mexican girls down there.

Well, if you plan to leave the lodge to fish then you should be concerned about what happened. The problems occurred on the lake and involved American fisherman. Any mention of what happened has gotten threads deleted.

I just did a pretty extensive online search for news about Lake El Salto and other than fishing reports I could not find anything. CNN, MSNBC, no one had any info.

Any mention of what happened has gotten threads deleted. That's pretty dang dumb. If something happened, and we have folks headed that way in the next month or so it needs to be public knowledge.
