Never been down there and didn't know what the area is like. If that is the better of places then I will give it a try.

There is a nice boat ramp to launch right at the corner of the river and a creek. The Creek is pretty nice to fish in but the main channel does have a lot of boats that put out a lot of wake. The park is really nice I camped and kayaked there last weekend I really enjoyed it except for all the boats on the river
