Brandy branch has water in mid 80s and in low 60s. Fish are in all phases of the spawn. It was my first time on the lake and want to go back. Lots of deep water, cover, but did not see tremendous schools of bait but the bass look very healthy. It was tough but I expects it to be since first time on the lake. Did see one good female on a bed but saw it swimming away. The males seemed to be pretty dedicated but still not super aggressive. Went to welsh as well water is low to mid 60's everywhere on the north side. There is more mattes hydrilla than in past few years. Seems to have a lot of 18 plus fish. Some fish have moved up to spawn but are very spooky which tells me they just moved up. There was a ton of pressure on the Northwest bank and we did catch fish there so there must be a bunch of fish using that area. It has deeper water close to shore and believe it is the side the creek channel runs. Moving baits and Texas rigs Carolina rigs all caught fish. Fairfield 60s and 70s. Tons of baitfish. Reeds and hydrilla holding fish. Hydrilla is not everywhere but can be thick out to 5/6 foot in some areas. Still tough for me on my 3rd trip. I like the lake and the fish are healthy.

From the reports I'm reading, Welsh is very tough right now. Is that because it's getting hammered all the time now?

Waded welsh last Sunday afternoon not bad. Five in about two hours swim bait. Nothing big but no drinks either!
