No boat yet I am still trying to decide on the boat. I believe I'm going to go check out a couple leads tomorrow. I am interested in the 19' Spectrum deep-v for sale that you posted above. Seems like a solid boat. Always very skeptical when buying bigger ticket stuff like a boat used so it slows me down but oh well I'm patient. My only concern with a deep-v would be getting back to the back ends of shallow coves to fish. I like to fish at night alot when the fish tend to move shallow. Ideally i'd like to find a rather bare bones type boat that I can outfit how I want it to be. I've got a shop at home and at work I can do some pretty major customizing I think if I set my mind to it. I have about as much fun tinkering on projects in the shop at home as I do fishing!

I was torn between a deep V aluminum or a deep hull CC. I went with the CC and I don't regret it at all. Now I'm gonna have to go do some red fishing as well since I have the appropriate boat for it.

My 19' Spectrum can run in 1.5" on Big Motor (trimmed up) and 1" on trolling motor. I can go just about anywhere a bass boat can.

I gotta say that Falcon is a sweet boat! Bait tank and rod holders already there, that is a catfishing machine! Samcaw22 good luck on your search, I went thru the same thing last year and my patience pulled off with me getting a Lund Vhull, it's not the biggest or the fanciest but when I got done fixing it to my style of fishing it turned out to be a catfishing machine and the perfect boat for me and the lakes that I fish. I even had Vess in awe of it on a recent trip.

Not sure what he is trying to say here. Either he's trying to sell you a boat or he will research boats for sale for you or ............ nuts

You don't need to worry about that boat drawing too much water. All of these deep v aluminium boats will float in water shallower than your Prop motor will push them in.
