Hey what's going on guys?! I hope every one is having good luck out there! I'm trying to get back into fishing, was deployed a lot and need to relax and get back to my roots.. Any advice would be appreciated, looking to fish around Ft Hood. I do have the post pass thanks in advance.. Travis

You might look at Lake Belton for some catfishing and crappie fishing.

Its tough on Belton if you don't have a boat. Ive been goin to school here and fishin the lake for almost two years now. Been able to find a few good sand bass spots over in the morgans point area. Still lookin for a good catfish spot.

For areas close to Ft. Hood look around and try to find you some bank access in the cowhouse branch. I am not familiar with this area so I cant point you to any specific places. Another good area, with a little farther drive would be around the 36 bridge area on the north end of the lake. Leona park, owl creek, and Iron Bridge park would all be good areas to try bankfishing.

If you are looking for a professional, top of the line guide, give spud a call. He will not only put you on the fish, but teach you how to find them on your own.
