It's possible to repair the reel seat without cutting off the guides and re wrapping it, but that requires cutting off the rear grip... try this instead... Most rods are built using masking tape as bushings to center the reel seat. Take a drill and drill two or three small holes on the underside of the reel seat. Use some slow curing rod building epoxy (not guide epoxy) (I like Flex Coat)... use a syringe and inject as much epoxy inside those holes, spin it around and get it well coated inside, let sit and make sure it is centered. Clean up any excess epoxy before it dries with denatured alcohol.
(I build custom rods, let me know if you have any questions)
