It's time to retire my Costa Fisch glasses...they've been absolutely amazing glasses, but I've been a bit hard on them.

Now I'm faced with what color lens I should get.

What do yall use for fishing? I hear the copper/amber works the best, but I think black glasses with copper lens look horrible.

Thoughts?

Amber was phased out for 2016, but copper is still available. I like the green mirror.

Amber was phased out?! Dang, I'm gonna have to keep my amber lens glasses forever then.
To the OP, amber and copper is the overall best lens. However, I hear the green lensesq are close seconds. I think grey lenses are good for cloudy days. I think it's more catered to the individual. We don't all have the same eyes, so amber might work best for me but green might work best for you. I know it's hard to try different lenses because of how expensive sunglasses are nowadays, so maybe going and trying on sunglasses might be your best bet. If I had to pick one final lens to last me the rest of my days, I think I'd go with amber or copper.

Here is an important link for selecting the right Costa del Mar eyewear. My optometrist highly recommends their glass lens products over the polycarbonate due to the admitted superior clarity. I also find them much more scratch resistant. For light filtering, I only go with 580G.

Being happy with glasses is dependent upon proper frame fit. It also reduces extraneous light leakage around an ill-fitting frame. Note the info on Costa frame size differences. The Costa product selector will reveal what lenses are available for each frame.

I would go with silver glass or green glass. Both have amber base. Both look great with black frames

Your glasses have a warranty from Costa. I just sent in 2 pairs of Blackfins and they replaced both sets of frames and the lenses in 1. Charged me $12.95 for the whole thing to fix BOTH pairs. I would send your glasses in for repair if I were you. Follow the steps from their website.

Incorrect info on the lenses. The silver mirror glasses have a gray copper base. Technically, the green mirror models have a copper base, which is a little different from amber.

Silver and green are both a copper base, slightly different light transmission.

Yes, the Fathom frame is still in the line-up. I got a blue mirror pair last week, love 'em!
