How's the 115X Max for fly fishing Central Texas rivers? I'm not a fly fisherman so I will let someone else answer that part of your question. I will say the Ride Series for Wilderness Systems are great kayaks. Comfortable, stable, with a lot of features. A great choice for conventional angling.

I have a 115X and I have taken it down several rivers. It does very well in rivers. Robert Field went down the Devils River in a Wildy Ride 115.

What is the problem with posting the prices here? It's frustrating that the Kayak business is so "secretive" about prices. It's almost like pulling teeth to get a price on a boat/kayak on the phone, online etc. Sometimes we just want to shop and plan for a purchase online. I will quote you on any boat you want me to. The manufactures have rules about posting prices. Not my rule. Give me a call or I will PM you the price. Just let me know what kayak you're interested in.

The manufactures have rules about posting prices. Not my rule. Give me a call or I will PM you the price. Just let me know what kayak you're interested in. As APT mentioned, kayak manufacturers have rules when it comes to advertising kayak prices that if are not followed could cause the manufacturer to pull the plug on the dealer. If you see a kayak priced below MSRP while doing online research chances are it's either a non-current model year or a 2nd quality (aka "blem boat"). If it's the latter the dealer better be upfront with the purchaser regarding the quality of the kayak because it means there is some sort of defect and the kayak will carry a different warranty than a 1st quality kayak. The MSO will tell you if it's a 1st or 2nd quality kayak.
