That is Streetwalker's standard response when someone asks a question on the forum.

Around 55 is when it really gets started. It usually peaks around 58-60 and tends to taper off around temps of 65. At least this has been the case in my experience.

When the redbud trees start to bloom the sand bass are running in the creeks.
*also word travels real fast when they start running, within a day or two there'll be 50 cars parked in the ditch at every creek it seems like

At least this has been the case in my experience. + 1 Right on...This has been my experience also.. Thru the years for north central TX. anyway (hub,Twok,Cedar Creek,Lavon etc.) If current is there early the rivers can be good earlier 51-53 even though the may not be in full spawn until water temps climb. Give it a week to 10 days of the 55 degree water temps for things to get going good. I found the spawn lasts 4 to 6 weeks with the peak being between 58 and 62. the carp, buffalo, and gar will be thick in the rivers towards the end of the sandie run as the temp get into the sixties.. Don't forget the windy points many sandies will spawn in the mid lake areas on long shallow points and sand bars.. Above Ray Hubbard should be fantastic with all the flow coming from Lavon, hopefully it will run through march..
..The Original old style Side imaging sonar.. With 360* degree side scanning. "

Fish are being caught now to add to your question in a very wide scale throuout all of north Texas. we don't get another really hard freeze going to be really jumping sooner than later.
