Catfishers also say fish the windblown banks. I don't see why carp wouldn't be the same principle.

I put the wind blown bank theory to the test today. I started of the day in my normal spot where I can park right by the water. With wind at my back I fished there for several hours and no bites just like yesterday. So I decided to make the long trek to the opposite side of the pond wher the wind was blowing towards. Within 20 minutes of setting up on far side of pond I landed 1st carp of the day. As I was reeling the carp in another much larger carp swam right next my fish by the shore. This side of the pond has much deeper water much closer to the shore. So next cast was just lobbed out about 20 feet and got another carp. I got 4 carp total and every one of them ran straight to the bank as soon as I set the hook. All were smaller carp around 6-9 lb range. I also caught mud cat with a big ole fat belly that weighed 1 lb 5oz.
