Planning a camping trip to inks lake in late February. Never been there before. Any bank fishing opportunities there or just boat/kayak?

has been awhile, but the state park has a couple of fishing peers as well as a lot of bank access. Never fished it, but launched there a couple of times.

late febuary, thatll be prespawn for bass and right in the season for white bass. Make you way towards the devils water hole with small spoons and curly tail grubs (white and chartruese). the white bass congregate at the end of the water hole. Fish off the north pier. catfishing is decent on the pier at night. stinkbaits or cut shad. you can cast net them. Ive caught several bass throwing senkos into the man made fish atractors. The pier on the left side of the park is your last bet if nothing works. That place is good for catfish. Most cat will be channels, some blues. the white bass are the best tho. rent a kayak from the park and head out if you want. also you can climb up past the devils watering hole and sight cast bass and sunfish in the stream. there are severl deep pockets that hold hungry fish. If the fishing is really really bad and yourdesperate to catch fish. try driving up to lake buchanan and fish colorado bend state park for white bass but you really shouldnt have to.

I always enjoyed night fishing from the lit piers. I always had luck on whites, crappie, catfish and carp. Another option is fishing/hiking Max Starcke Dam or any of the other Highland Lake tailraces.

We used to catch tons of whites at Max Starke. Don't know if they still let you down there below it.
