Crazy winds yesterday,boats in all directions, but we did find a few. We were not able to get on anything of decent size, but had fun catching what we did. At least the 20 something we did catch were all in the slot. Fun day, that's all that counts. Everything was caught on T/R plastic in 15 to 20 FOW.

The boat traffic was unreal. I was told that the anglers were prefishing for a Saturday tournament. Hope evryone gets on some good fishing today, the wind is going to be something else out there, wind gust up to 30mph. it's going to be a brutal day. Good luck guys.

It's a shame that LCRA didn't fix the wind warning lights. When you launch, you have no idea just how rough the lake is.

Yesterday the wind really didn�t gust, it had a steady flow hitting you constantly. If you didn't stay on the trolling motor, you would have reached a drift of around 5mph easy. I didn�t think about at the time, but I wish I had looked at my speed on my sonar. I had to put another weight and hook on once and when I was done, man was I off track. It didn't take long either. Pushed me about fifty yards in a few minutes.

Man, when it gets windy on Fayette you'd think you're in the Gulf. I am guessing you weren't using 3/16 oz weights with that much wind.

I think I was using 3/16 oz. At times, it was difficult to stay in touch with your bait, but I tried to keep the boat in a position to where we would be casting with the wind, it wasn't an easy day. I was pushing the boat backwards alot. If you casted with the side winds, you would get a pretty good loop in the line. It was a good day to be throwing cranks and spinner baits for sure, fishing plastic or jigs was a chore. But we got her done without to many back-lashes.

I saw this racoon foraging on the rip rap and told my partner that the next bass we catch, if it's not to big, I'm going to feed it to the coon. We catch one and I toss it up by this guy, he snatched that fish up and took off to seek a safe place to pig out on his meal. I've done this several times on this lake, neat to watch. When a few are foraging together, it is an all out coon fight over the meal. These guys can get radical.
