With the great weather this weekend, how did everyone do?

I went out to Arlington today for about 5 hours. The water temps out there were 50 to 53 and the clarity was very stained with a slight dirt color.

The lake is up, so I mostly flipped flooded timber all day. After no success, I cranked 10-15 ft areas near spawning areas.

Good thing the weather was nice, because I didn't catch a thing.

Fished Texoma from 10 till 4:30 today. Water temp was 49-53. They still had the flood gates going releasing about 16,000 cfs total. The weather was beautiful. Partner missed one fish on a jig. That's it.

I also fished Texoma today- can confirm the water temps, clarity, and extreme lack of fish caught lol.

We fished ~8:00-2:30/3:00'ish and my partner boated the only bite we had all day. 9 1/2 lb striper on an A-Rig.

Went to Fairfield Saturday. Water temp was averaging around 61. Caught 12 by noon. Longest was 18". It was 3lb 12 oz. Heaviest fish was 4lb 1oz. Smallest was around 2 lbs. Caught all flipping the reeds with a big Biffle Bug. Green Pumpkin colored.

Sunday, went to Clark Lake. Caught a bunch of small bass. Saw a HUGE one cruising along a sandy slope. Tried a shot at it, but actually hit it on the head with my jig. It REALLY didn't like it. He left in a cloud of mud! Never to be seen again. North end of the lake was 51-52degrees. South end was 54-56. Water was crystal clear in some areas, seeing bottom in 15ft. Some areas were clear, but stained. Overall clarity was averaging around 10-12 ft with polarized lens. All fish I caught at Clark were caught on watermelon/black fleck Senkos.

The clarity was 10-12 ft? You are talking about lake clark near Ennis right.....?

Fished Ray Hubbard today from 10-3. On bite on a crank bait. Found plenty deep, but no bites. Tried shallow and deep, but no fish.

Hollingshead, what did you catch them on and where?

Yes. Clark right outside of Ennis. And that depth is with polarized glasses. Without them, it's hard to see down there in the stained areas. The really clear areas were in the coves alongside the airport and mostly south of the old submerged dam. The stained stuff was north side. I think when all the Lilly pads start to decay, they kinda act like tea leaves. It tints the water I guess.

The water was so clear I was able to see a bunch of good bass hiding spots. I saw a bunch of submerged tractor tires in the water. I've seen it on my side and down scans, just was never able to put the pictures together in my head. Now I see what they are, and all the jigs and plastics hung in them. Haha.

Fished Cypress Saturday and caught a couple, up to 4.5lbs. Was mostly just scouting some stuff though. Water was very muddy.

Fished Perky today and it was tough, ended up with 4, nothing over 3.5.

Fished Fairfield caught one over at about 3 1/2 lbs and a few decent unders.. A few more dinks and that was it .. Caught the over on a crawl colored crank bait and the rest flipping a green pumpkin/purple jig with a green pumpkin trailer.. I was flipping in front of and just into the reeds in 4-8 fow.. Guess I should've been getting deeper into them .

Went to Holbrook this morning. Wind was brutal. Caught two dinks in reeds near a creek channel in 2ft of water on a t-rig. Then caught one decent one in 20ft of water on a jig. Water was 51-53 in most places and was stained. Expected them to be biting better. We had a great day out there last weekend and expected today to be the same or better. That's fishing.

The clarity on that lake has never been that clear.... I'm puzzled
