For sure guys, but I also have a computer that is about 15 years old that types what ever it wants to. Been looking over all of you guys jigs for some color idea's and you guys tie some fancy jigs. I have a big order for April 15, for buck tails with the body antron chenille. All I have is 210 thread [waxed] do you guys think it will work? Will be a easy tie as he wanted the body, blue, black and purple some of each. The tail all a mix of Chartreuse of what ever I can get. Love it when they are easy to work with.

I use 210 flat waxed for all of my jigs. More than anything, I'm noticing quite a bit of thread not waxed the way it used to be. I actually called Matthew (Jigum) here a while back because I was having problems with thread. He confirmed my suspicions, that the thread quality isn't always as good as it used to be.. Thread will sometime break or slip on the hook shank worse than thread properly waxed.

Crystal seems to give more fuss than antron, in terms of waxed thread being an issue. I think you'll be fine so long as the wax on the thread is good.

I use 210 flat waxed nylon on most crappie jigs but keep both 300 and 400 denier for the bigger jigs. Also keep 170 for the #6 and #8 hooks. But the last 5 years have done less than 100 hair jigs, maybe it will come back pretty fast. I do remember it likes to turn on the hook.
