What are the best hooks and size for free floating juglines?

God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Genesis 1:28

Team Catfish 8/0 double action. Catches big cats as well as eaters, a 1.5 to 2 pound cat has no trouble getting a 8/0 hook in their mouth.

8/0 Gamakatsu Octopus on mine. They are strong and will catch about any size.

From Genesis: "And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth."

Then He made the earth round...and He laughed and laughed and laughed!

I just wanted to confirm because I was told get 4/0 or 5/0 circle hooks.

As far as depths...what are the best depths to make them 10 to 15 ft deep.

Depends on your bait really. If you plan on hooking some live perch, go big. When you see an 8/0 circle hook in the side of the mouth of a 70 lbs flathead, it looks tiny, lol. An 8/0 hook doesnt have any trouble hooking a small catfish, but a small hook may have trouble with a very large catfish.

For free floating jugs I set mine at 8ft. I also use 7/0 circle hooks.
