If you pinch the barbs on the blue river will that pass for barbless hook. Getting ready to go and don't need any extra $$$$$$ from wildlife police, I'd rather comply than risk it?

If they will go in and out of your clothing pinching is fine. If it still hangs pinch it a bit more.
I bought a pair of flat jaw pliers [no grooves] that work great for pinching the barbs. These pliers will get them flat.

This is for the Blue in Oklahoma not sure about Colorado.
