Ive seen a few post about it. Ive never tried it. Whats the best way to use & prepare it? Might hit windpoint at tawakoni sunday. And only have a few hours from the bank so dont have time to chase after shad. Thanks for the tips

I've used it a few times and had mild success. I just cut them into 1" strips and soak them in the juice that comes in a chicken liver container. Usually I'm not that lazy and I take the time to catch blue gill for bait.
No need for all that soaking or preparing, just take out of package, cut into whatever size fits your hook and cast it... Works awesome drifting.. I typically use 5 rods while drifting.. I put cut blue gill on 3 and chicken on 2 and caught more fish on chicken. I caught my personal best 35lbs at wind point park drifting chicken breast..

I like letting it soak in Dead Red. We have caught a couple 30+ pounders recently on it. And quite a few eater size blues. It's definitely worth using when bait is scarce.
Ive used it when Shad were half way across the lake and I couldnt get there. use a turkey syringe, and dope them up with your choice ,I used 2 inch strips and clam Juice
It works. The guys in this thread aren't the only ones who've shared experiences of it out catching other baits fished side by side. Maybe not every time, but it's good enough to not stay home if you can't catch free bait.
