The past week has been super slow fishing durung the day time for carp at my local spot in Denton. I have been lucky to catch one carp in the past 4 days while the sun was up. Night time has been a different story. I got word that some one caught at least a half dozen carp last sunday night using corn only and no pack bait. So yesterday I went back for a night session and joined up with Dave, the guy I had heard about on Sunday night. We did good last night and each caught a couple and had some other good runs. Tonight was a little slower but I did land a nice 34 inch Carp at 17 lbs 13 oz. Fish was caught around 9 pm. Park closes at 10 pm. Dave landed a nice gravid female right at 9:55pm just in time for Denton PD to show up and let us know park was closing. Cop was pretty friendly. Dave's fish was full at the belly with eggs and weighed in at 7 lbs 7 oz. He got it on his ultra lite rod that almost went flying into the pond when fish ran. It even bent his bank stick. My primitive wooden fish rack may have saved pole from going all the way in the water. Great night to be out fishing with other carp anglers. We had a great time. There was another guy with us but I forgot his name. We had fun watching the local beaver makes hs laps around the pond last 2 nights
