Fellow TFF'rs,

I wanted to share with this group that Kayak Wars 2016 registration will be open soon (targeting in about two weeks) and about the transition in ownership which can be found on the Kayak Wars homepage.

Our first objective is to get the site turned around for the 2016 season so we can open up registration. We plan to add many enhancements and new features to the Kayak Wars experience and we would love to hear feedback from the community. We've heard some great suggestions which we plan to turn around quickly such as:
- Reducing the team size down to 1 so individuals can participate without a team
- Introducing short weekend/week-long challenges and events

We can't wait to start the season and hope to hear from you.

I like the 1 man team idea! Seems like every "team" I had been on previously had been mostly me and sometimes 1 other buddy logging fish. lol

Obviously it's not a team if it's an individual competition. I like the team concept since I've met new friends and it promotes fishing together for safety. The kayak man points and individual standings were still more important as far as actual prizes. The whole team concept and format also promoted going after multiple species which I find more interesting and challenging. If that changes, it might as well be like the other tourneys and trails.

Kayak Wars 2016 Registration is open ( http://www.kayakwars.com )! The 2016 season will begin 2/27. We are finalizing components of the new site and will be rolling out features between now and then. Please let me know if you have any questions and we hope to see you this season.
