i was just talking to my wife and told her i was gonna go throw a plug...never thought about where that term came from...what other names is there for a LURE

this one is more common, but growing up i had always heard them called traps but now you hear lipless crank a lot. It wasnt until i was older that i found out Rat-L-Trap was actually a brand and not the name of the lure

My buddy was quick to correct me the other day when we were talking about a guy who caught fish last year using traps. He said...."No, I think he said lipless cranks." Ummmm..... Okay.

It's funny.... You used to hear plug all of the time, now not so much.

my grandpa called them plugs,..he was a crappie fisherman, but had a 5' casting rod in the boat and would sometimes throw a red-white jitterbug,
or a zaraspook black with the skeleton on it,..those where his plugs.. fish
