I have been using the Texas Tee for about 4 years. I do a twice yearly application on my lawn. That's a good price. I think I pay closer to $30.

I went to pick up the Texas Tee and they only had one bag. But they had another called Magnificent Earth. Made by Blue Bonnet Feeds in Ardmore, OK. I don't see anything on their site about it. But it does have a nice list of ingredients.

The mushroom compost from the mushroom plant in Madisonville is really good stuff. I've hauled several truckloads out of there for some local landscapers.

1/2 cup of manure in a gallon milk jug full of water . Let it set for about a week . Use sparingly ( especially if it's chicken manure ) and water it in well . It's quicker than burying the compost but it does have its drawbacks . Ever made catfish chum ?

I've had good results with the fish emulsion sold at Lowe's . I could make it myself but I already have enough buzzards flying around here . grin

Sorry for the late reply .

I had fire ants build a mound right under my kitchen window and they were coming in the house . I put some corn meal on the window sill and the mound was dead in about a week . Might have been a coincidence but it's worth a try .

My nursery doesn't have Praying Mantis eggs yet and not sure when they will. I ordered them on Amazon prime just now. $12.50. That's a good price. My nursery sells them for $20.00. Ordered both my kids their own hatching habitat.

I sprayed 20% vinegar on weeds this morning and they were curled up and turning brown this afternoon.

I'm going to buy a gallon of 20% this weekend. HEB carries 9%, which I have used with good results, but I want to try a 20% and make small spray bottle batches mixed with orange oil (d-limonene). HEB has orange oil for $15 a quart. Orange oil at 2oz or so per gallon of water is the best fire ant mound drench I've ever used. That will be the ratio I will add to the vinegar.

so if i am reading correctly, i should put down both SBM, and milorganite for fertilizer purposes, and Dry molasses for ants. I will start with that , and possibly look into other stuff in the near future...
