I'm from lake fork but I got a job here in central Texas and all lakes are an hour and a half away besides this little lake! There was a golden algae bloom in 2012 has anyone fished it recently? I would like a lake close that I can hit after work sometimes.

There was some discussion about Brady last fall. Maybe August or September. The lake was and is still down and they were not catching anything. But, it was when the water was still real warm. This lake used to be good. They havent caught any water when lots of others have. I am not aware of the algae issue but Im sure your info is correct. Good luck and let us know. Im not that far from it either and would like to go if it has picked up.

I fished it back in the fall caught to little pickles. It use to be really good but with fish kill it has really hurt the lake.

Well I just got off it! Lost a dink at the boat! It's still low and the rain last night didn't help. Water clarity was about 3 inches! Imma have to hit when the water temps pick up a little bit and! Lbj for me tomorrow!

O.H. Ivie is real close. I'd go try there. It's a really good lake with some really big fish.

Lbj is a fun lake but it takes time to learn it.

Thanks for sharing Jade. Good luck on LBJ. I will agree with DDB. LBJ can be good if you can find them. There will be a lot of pressure on it the next two weeks with big tournaments.

Lbj doesn't fish as deep as you would think. Try going shallower
