Well did the maiden voyage Sunday and I was thoroughly impressed!! Handled well in the high winds...very easy to glide over water with chop coming against! Cant wait to get it out again! Was a wetter ride but I am thinking thats due to it being a more lower profile to the water!!

I was even able to make a modification to rudder so as I can make it detachable as I do have to lug this thing three flights up!

Works very nice!!

Thanks yakintime! I do think I am going to change the rings to a double carabiner something like this http://www.homedepot.com/p/Nite-Ize-Size-4-Black-S-Biner-SB4-03-01/202534201
I think this will be a bit easier to clip in and out as well as save a little space!! We shall see!

The girlfriend and I are supposed to demo this kayak tomorrow. We're thinking about buying two of them. When you say wet ride was that do to the wind and chop? Or just water coming in through the scuppers?

We liked them. Ended up buying two tonight and bringing them home. Looks like the maiden voyage will be Saturday.

Girlfriend got the raspberry which I say is pink. I ended up with the yellow camouflage because they were out of lime. It's all good, I have a bright yellow t-bucket that I built in high school. We're probably headed to the Bridgeport paddling trail on Saturday unless they decide to release an absurd amount of water out of Lake Bridgeport. I think these will be fine for our first kayaks.

Hey y'all did great on em!! I do like that pinkish color heck I almost got that one lol!!! The wife looked at me crazy though when I threatened to get it so I chose the blue! Lol... Never been to the paddling trail but I must say that is a beautiful lake!! Crappie fished it once before and did decent!!! It's a good fishery when the water level can stay fairly stable for a 24hr period!

How are these for standing and casting? I'm trying to decide for my partner yak/smaller water yak between this one and a Coosa HD.
