Fished from 9:00 to 1:30. 8-10 largemouth up to 2 pounds. Ton of sunfish. 1 white. Schools of whites stacked up all the way to Puckett Springs. I tried to spoon feed them, but they wouldn't eat. Spent a couple hours on these schools. Stripped a ghost minnow imitation in front of 15 plus with no reaction. Dead drifting didn't work. Water is super clear, 5 ft visibility. Warm weather can't come soon enough. I'll post again Thursday.

Yes. You can cross about 10 yards down river of rocky creek. That's the only place to cross if you're going down river. I might be getting sick on Wednesday! Lol

Normally once you get that first one fired up it gets a little easier. I have a couple of different presentations on they get like that that they just can't stand.

i keep trying to figure out why my friends are wanting to put a bump on my head when we fish together bang hmmm oh well guess always better a friend than a stranger de I hate to tell you Jaimie I think you are a bit back in the line though. Really wish I would have known you were free earlier. Would have loved to get down there. Nolan going to be weather dependent for a bit Mateo and I got down there I've fished it ten years he has longer than that it it a whole new river. New holes new channels new Riffles riffles lost. But room to spread out this year for sure. Won't be long till the guys show up with a lanyard with 37 tools they don't know how to use and ten rolls of leader material and tippet around their neck and a goofy hat. No offense meant but dang guys it's sandbass 150yd spool of 8lb invisx floro half a dozen clousers split shot and an indicator if they are really finicky all fits in a wadder pocket. I take a backpack with snacks and drinks rain gear if needed. But if you are just getting into this sandbass is as minimalist as fly fishing gets. Also as easy as fly fishing gets. I just say that to put into perspective the only thing you can do to hinder flyfishing for sandbass is overthink it. This will be the best run in a long time state wide every run that ever was a run should be good. And Nolan going to be all the way up to the retention dam above town.

Ok ok or a visor lol. I don't want to see none of this down there. Dang bad enough I need a hard hat to keep the two oz slabs from knocking me out trying to cast into the two foot deep hole I'm fishing. And breaking my leg on a lawn chair that was left when owner exceeded the recommended weight limit and I slip on his Walmart sack full of empty roadrunner bags peepI say this all to crack a smile but the flood cleaned up the place a lot sadly let's try and keep it there.
