I am planning on taking a trip up to PK this summer and I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions on a place to stay. I'm taking my 23' fishing boat so having a place I could keep it in the water the whole time would be nice and there are at least 8 people going for 4 days. I have stayed at Golden Cove many times but I was looking around and found Bailey's Crystal Bay. Has anyone ever stayed there? Got any other suggestions?

Possum Hollow has cabins and slips, its not too far from Baileys. I have not seen the cabins in a few years, but they used to be decent enough.

Get on the PK Chamber of Commerce web site. They list all the places to stay on PK as well as anything else you might need. Remember the Stripers and Sandbass will be between Costello and the dam during the summer. Lots of God places to stay at PK.

Thanks for the replies guys. I guess I was looking for some first hand experience. I remember staying at Bass Hollow many years ago and having it be the worst trip I've ever had out there. Golden Cove has been mostly good, I was just testing the waters to see what else is out there.

I recommend staying at a motel in Mineral Wells, TX. You'll have the local Walmart to stockup from and can't beat the hospitality from the locals there. Also, IMO....PK is only a short 35 minute drive there. Get some McDs before early fishing or a soft bed before a long day of outdoors enjoyment.

Fox Hollow has been remodeled and has restaurant and dock for overnight moorage. 15 cabins that are arranged and priced differently. The restaurant is very good not to mention.

Now that the lake is full, Golden Cove is still the best place to stay. Pull your 23' boat right up to your house and walk 50' to the back door.
