Thanks Squarehd and Bfail for the replies.
Squarehd. Depending what part of the river you want to launch at there are several nice ramps. Under IH 35 New Braunfels for Dunlap. Under IH 10 Seguin for Placid. Log Creek Subdivision off of FM 725 for Mcqueeney. RV Park off of FM 123 Seguin for Meadow Lake. GBRA Park just outside of Gonzales for Lake Wood. You should have no problem at all launching an 18.5 foot boat from these ramps.
Bfail: A good cold winter has always improved the Crappie bite on the Guadalupe. They will not spawn until early March. Water is usually between 62 and 68 degrees(for spawn) depending on what part of the river you are fishing.
Fish are in winter patterns but will start staging in Mid to late February for spawn. This is what I have experienced the past four years when I started to fish for Crappie.
I mainly target the sunfish.
(Bluegill,Redear,Longear,Redbreast,Warmouth,and Green.).
Side Note: The Crappie bite is good right now! Hopefully it gets better after this cold front blows through.
Also Nice Fish Curtis! That has to be your PB!
