I threw a frog in the back of barking dog point, caught a couple 2+lbers.

I threw a frog in the back of barking dog point, caught a couple 2+lbers. Barking Dog Point! I even know where that is if your talking about the German Shepard.

Water temp was 60-63 yesterday so it should work, but would have to be weed-less on most banks.

I have been known to throw a YM or buzzbait over this large shallow rocky hump that is rumored to hide midlake.

We fished Welsh yesterday and started in cove right to the right of the ramp. I caught two decent ones on a Yellow Magic, including one that was 19 5/8" and over 4 pounds. My partner also caught one on a Spook type walking bait in the same area.
So, I would say yes to topwater action!!

Have made several sales to people that are buying top waters and wakebaits on welsh. The way wakebaits went I need to get more painted up.
