Been a while since I was on here so having said that I was planning a trip to Grapevine tomorrow with an attempt to land some crappie.
I haven't been there since early fall and we were wearing out the black bass and sandbass, but this time I am targeting Crappie. Anybody have insight on if they are on the bite. I figure they would be hanging deeper around structure.
I appreciate it

Yeah, it's 19 feet high! Closed unless you got something you can launch from the bank. Even then, it's going to be TOUGH to find them.

If someone wants to provide the ride, I'll volunteer my members card for free parking and launch in exchange for a seat. cheers

Well, we ended up in the yaks at the marina just west of the Gaylord and spent a solid 6 hrs on the water. Had a bump on a live minnow and a bump on a pink jig but in all likelihood it was just me jigging in and out of the cover. My buddy didn't have anything. Threw every color and fished it at every depth in and out of the boat docks in open water and in cover, we couldn't buy a bite. Better luck next time.
