Looking to visit Fairfield for the 1st time on Friday. Anyone have any suggestions on where to start or areas to give a try? Have read that flipping reeds has been productive lately, are there any good offshore locations or techniques to try? How about the discharge area, does it tend to be productive much like the East Texas pp lakes? Any info anyone would be willing to share would be appreciated.

Be careful if you travel into the discharge. It gets really shallow and if you're not careful it could end up bad. As far as offshore there are a few areas that have some humps with some trees in about 15ft of water on the east side up by the 2nd ramp. I usually stay shallow this time of year.

Thanks for the info, much appreciated. We'll give a go on Friday and see if we can put something together. Should be fun either way. The weather is supposed to be great which may or may not be a good thing but it certainly beats working!
