This is 7.25" I know that's not big in terms of swimbaits but it seams huge to me considering most of the baits I throw are 3-4 inches.

Nice bait Brad. I've always had an interest in bigger baits (even before the swimbait craze) because of childhood experiences.

I fished for bluegill often in our productive farm pond, which had some quality bluegill in it. On occasion, my stringer was stolen by one of the large bass who ate a bluegill on the stringer and swam away with all of it because the stringer was simply staked in dirt. My dad put a rebar stake at the water's edge as a solid anchor point to stop the theft of my entire catch. Even after that, there were a few times I was left with a bluegill lip on the staked out stringer. I remember seeing multiple big bass hanging in 10 inches of water trying to figure out how to get a meal from my catch tied off at the water's edge. Those bass did not seem to have a bit of trouble swallowing a bluegill, and I never forgot that.

Guys I didn't paint this bait a buddy of mine did that does a lot of custom swimbaits, he is doing a foiled gizzard Shad for me too on the same bait. I told him to paint me a few when he had time. He tried to talk me into bullshad but I just could pull the trigger on that much money for a bait. If I catch some nice ones on one of these bait maybe it will be easier to drop that kinda money on a bait. He does some awesome work and sells a ton of swimbaits. So I figured I would let him paint them for me.
