I've heard that APT does it. Any feedback on the quality and turn around time? Anyone else doing it? Thanks

APT's guy fixed a Dobyns rod for me a few weeks ago. Quality: good. Speed: not so good. Took about 2 1/2 weeks for an eyelet replacement. No big deal if the time does not matter. Drop off & pick up @ APT. Price was more than fair.

Yeah that's way too long. Alvarado Custom Tackle had tips done while I wait and guides done in a day or 2. Any other local options?

Easy fix. Just get new tip or eye, superglue, a little epoxy, and you are in business. Glue the tip or eye on, and dab a little epoxy on it. Use a box to hold the rod and spin it slowly for 30 min to keep epoxy evenly distributed. If you just let it sit, epoxy will form a drop in downward side.

Cody over in Stephenville has fixed two of mine and did an excellent job. Turn around was two days. Could not tell which eye he had replaced on a GLX after he was finished. Bought one of my favorite rods from him also. Javabone's Custom Rods
