Fished Reimer's this afternoon/evening. Caught 3 White Bass on a black/silver roostertail. Man, those fish are fun to catch when they get in that current. I had my best luck between 5:00 & 6:00. Saw one guy leave with a stringer of 6. Fun times. grin

To paraphrase and old Sam and Dave song,"Hold on, they're coming!" The scouts are on the move, the main force can't be far behind. Good times on the way

FYI- "camp pedernales of the 71 bridge" is downstream, not "further upstream" from Reimers...
Just Saying... hammer
But Yeah, I agree "not many fish will be there" so yeah, everyone go to "camp pedernales of the 71 bridge" heard they have been catching limits down there....Don't waste your time at Reimers, I haven't caught any white bass from there in years roflmao

Fishingfool40 - Do you have to be in a boat at Camp Pedernales?? I don't remember much of a shoreline there. I bet the whites are thick in the Pedernales there. A co worker told me he went up in his boat past the 71 bridge and tore them up. (2 weeks ago). I couldn't remember the name of the camp. Last time I was there I think they charged $10 or so to launch your boat?

thanks for the info.

Fished Reimers from 9-12 today. No whites to be found. Water looks good and I would think it is only a matter of time. Stopped by the 71 bridge on the way home and was able to get a couple in the 15 mins I had to check it out.

I thought I'd share my neighbor's fishing report.

My neighbor went out Friday. He told me he fished from his bass buggy from noonish to dusk. He and his buddy caught about 40 keepers combined. He always uses river minnows. So he has that going for him. They caught the majority of fish upstream past the shallows. He also told me they caught a few at the kayak launch as they were going upstream. He said the rapid water area was shallow and he had to get out and pull his bass buggy past the shallow water to go upstream. But it sounds like some fish are there and they had a good day.

It was a good story for me to hear. I'd imagine it's only gonna get better there from today. I'm headed to Colorado Bend State Park next weekend to take my mom and dad out. I hope by the next chance I get to come here, then this place will be on fire.

I will tell you that my wife and brother and I fished the Irwin Bridge at Sommerville & the Yegua creek today. we caught aboutt 8-10 each. Those WB are really big in the Yegua. Holy Cow we caught some big ones. But Reimers is much closer to me than Irwin Bridge. It would be nice to catch those magnum WB here too. I'm not complaining only wishing.

tight Lines all!

Fished Reimer's today from about 2:00 to 6:00. Got skunked. Definitely still figuring this place out. I will have a little bit different approach next time out.

1st trip ever to Reimer's. Fished from ~11-2pm Sat. 2/27. No luck. Only a tiny bass pulled from a hole they were trapped in up the bank. Took a nap on the bank and a hike afterwards. Beautiful place.
