Fished some local docks after a cold front and the bite was "ON FIRE"! Myself and Mike "USMC-GY" fished from 10am till 2pm and caught well over 50 fish. Started out chilly but warmed up after about an hour. We kept some for the frying pan. Fish were holding close to docks in 6 to 12 feet of water. Caught a nice variety of Bluegill,Redbreast,Hybrids,Redear, and a trophy Rio that went 10.50". Worms and jigs were the baits used. Float, drop shot, and bottom techniques were all used. The water was stained due to resent rains with good current. Catching a mess of post front sunnies. It just don't get any better! fish

Nice catch guys. Great seeing a trophy Rio in late November! Good job guys. woot

Side Note: Looks like we may get a lot of RAIN this upcoming Friday and Saturday. Yet another hurricane coming out of the Pacific by Mexico will make it's way to the San Antonio area. Do you think this will have an effect on the Crappie winter bite and the trout stockings along the Guadalupe?

Thanks Curtis for the reply! cheers I have been following the weather forecast and there is potential of having a lot of rain Friday,Saturday, and early Sunday. eeks If it is anything like what we got last month I would not think that Parks&Wildlife would stock trout on the Guadalupe. hmmm The current would be simply to strong especially if water is being let out of Canyon Lake. bang Just my two cents. 2cents As for the Crappie bite any flooding will effect the bite. nuts

This last rain we got this past weekend has really muddied up the water on Mcqueeney and east. Going to have to give it a week to clear up. The bite has also been off this week!

Did good Tuesday on Mcqueeney. Caught some nice Redear and Bluegill. Also found some Crappie! Sunfish were in 10 to 12 feet of water holding by docks. Crappie were located by drop offs in the 15 feet of water.

Nice haul guys. Also nice Rio USMC-GY. If the winter keeps going the way it is next years Rio season should be a good one. Pretty mild winter right now.
